In the context of this project and through my mixed-media practice, I am interested in visual art as a form of pictorial rewriting. I conceive the use of mixed media as an inherent element in my narrative reconstructions. I aim to assemble, from a literary and artistic corpus, pictorial interpretations centered on the presence of racialized lesbians as the main element of the narration. My work is rooted in oral history, biomythography (as conceived by Audre Lorde in "Zami"), the myths and folklores of Provence and the Mandé, family and public archives, as well as queer, feminist, and decolonial works of literature. In these works, I am particularly interested in the founding myth of the Mossi nation with the legend of Ouédraogo, alongside that of Tristan & Isolde.

This project aims to allow me a narrative form of reappropriation of my cultural heritage, emphasizing pastoral iconography.

Dans le cadre de ce projet et à travers ma pratique mixed-media, je m'intéresse à l'art visuel comme une forme de réécriture picturale. Je conçois l'usage de médias mixtes comme des éléments inhérents à mes reconstructions narratives. Je cherche à assembler, à partir d'un corpus littéraire et artistique, des interprétations picturales centrées sur la présence des lesbiennes racisé.e.s comme étant l’élément principal de la narration. Mon travail s'enracine dans l'histoire orale, la biomythographie (telle que pensée par Audre Lorde dans "Zami"), les mythes et folklores de Provence et du Mandé, les archives (familiales et publiques) ainsi que les littératures queer, féministe et décoloniale. Dans ces oeuvres, je m'intéresse principalement au mythe fondateur de la nation Mossi avec la légende de Ouédraogo parallèlement à celui de Tristan & Yseult.

Ce projet a pour but de me permettre une forme de réappropriation de la narration de mes propres patrimoines culturel mettant l’accent sur une iconographie pastorale.
